Main Areas of Expertise Plant molecular biology, plant physiology, abiotic stress tolerance, plant biotechnology, botany, agronomy, agriculture Secondary Areas of Expertise Plant genetics and genomics, developmental biology, biochemistry, epigenetics Biography I hold Ph.D. and Masters degrees in Horticulture and Crop Science, with a specialization in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, from the Ohio State University, and a Bachelors degree in Crop Science from Punjab Agricultural University, India. My Ph.D. research focused on understanding the molecular genetic mechanisms of freezing tolerance in the Triticeae cereals, wheat and barley. I followed this with postdoctoral research in the field of barley genomics at the University of Dundee, Scotland, UK and in switchgrass biotechnology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA. I am experienced in editing manuscripts for non-native English speakers for their writing style, manuscript structure, and grammar, as well as clarity and presentation of scientific content. I have reviewed several manuscripts for scientific journals and currently work as a freelance science editor.
