Dr Matic possesses advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex research and translate it to a broad audience, and is committed to providing clear, educational information in an audience-appropriate format. Previously, as a faculty member in the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, Dr. Matic conducted infrared neural stimulation experiments in the cochlea, as a means to improve the speech perception of cochlear implant users one day. Her publications on the topic include numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, review articles, and book chapters.
