To accommodate the pressing publication needs of today's researchers, we operate two services; a regular service that guaranties the return of manuscripts within 7 days and an express service that guarantees the return of manuscripts within 48 hours. The regular service costs 70 US$ per hour and the express service costs 100 US$ per hour. To cover basic costs associated with the handling of each manuscript, we levy a basic charge of 50 US$ which is added to the total cost irrespective of the time required to edit the manuscript.
Most manuscripts take between two and six hours to edit. You will be charged within about one week to 10 days after receiving back the edited version of your manuscript. We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card and cheque. If necessary, we can also charge on a page basis.
University researchers who wish to pay through Monbusho or through the university payment system should contact our agent in Japan (Labo Co Ltd) at the email address bioedit@labo.co.jp.
We accept manuscripts, preferably in MS Word format, by email. Figures can be submitted in either Powerpoint™ or PDF™ format. Figures may also be sent by fax to a dedicated telephone number in Japan. Changes to the manuscript are recorded and made clearly visible to the author through the use of the “Track Changes” option of MS Word™ 6 or higher during editing.
